# Every setting, tab by tab > Look up every Settings tab, each control on it, what it starts at, and what it changes. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then **Settings**. It opens on **Model Providers**. | Tab | What it holds | | ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Model Providers** | The AI accounts your squad runs on, the default model, and image models | | **Integrations** | The apps your squad can use, and custom servers | | **Passwords & Logins** | Website logins your squad can use in its browser | | **Messaging** | Your Telegram bot | | **Usage** | What is left on each AI account, credits, your monthly credit limit, and credit activity | | **Billing** | Your plan, credit packs, and payment history | | **Workspace** | How many tasks run at once, backups, and reset | ## Model Providers ### Language Models Five providers: **OpenAI Codex**, **Anthropic**, **Azure OpenAI**, **Google Gemini**, and **OpenRouter**. The header says how many are connected, such as "1 of 5 connected". Each row ends in **Set up**, **Connected**, or **Reconnect**. Click a row to open it. An API key is a secret code from your provider that lets SquadRoom use your account. | Control | Default | What it changes | | -------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **API Key** and **ChatGPT account** tabs (OpenAI Codex) | **API Key**, or the way you connected | Switches between an API key and a ChatGPT plan. | | **API Key** and **Claude subscription** tabs (Anthropic) | **API Key**, or the way you connected | Switches between an API key and a Claude plan. | | **Sign in with ChatGPT** | Not connected | Shows a code to enter at ChatGPT, and **Open ChatGPT**. First turn on **Device code authorization for Codex** in ChatGPT. **Show me how** plays a short video. | | **Add another ChatGPT account** | Shown once one account is connected | Adds another ChatGPT plan, which takes over when the account in use hits its limit. | | **Use** on a ChatGPT account | - | Makes that account the one in use. | | **Sign in again** on a ChatGPT account | Shown when the sign-in expired | Starts a new sign-in for that account. | | **Paste the token** (Claude subscription) | Empty | The token (a sign-in code) that `claude setup-token` prints in your terminal, the command window on your computer. It starts with `sk-ant-oat01-`. | | **Account name** (Claude subscription) | Empty, optional | Names the account, such as "Claude Max". | | **Connect Claude**, **Update token**, **Save token** | - | Saves or replaces the Claude token. | | **Rename** in an account's menu | The name you gave it | Renames the account. | | **Disconnect** in an account's menu | - | Removes the account. If it was in use, SquadRoom moves to another account or provider first. | | **Rotation order** | Keys in the order you added them | Your saved API keys for the provider, used top to bottom. The key at position 1 is in use until it runs out. The arrows move a key. | | Replace a key (pencil) | - | Renames the key or replaces its secret. Leave the secret blank to keep it. | | Delete a key (bin) | Off for the key at position 1 | Deletes the key. To delete the key at position 1, move another key above it first. | | **Add an API key** name | Empty | Names the key. Each key of a provider needs its own name. Without one, it is called "Key" and a number, such as "Key 2". | | API key field | Empty | The secret key from your provider. | | **Verify** | - | Checks only that the key looks right, such as starting with `sk-ant-` for Anthropic. It doesn't contact the provider. | | **Azure endpoint URL** (Azure OpenAI) | Empty, required | The web address (endpoint) of your Azure OpenAI resource. | | **Deployed models** (Azure OpenAI) | Empty, required | Your deployment names (the names you gave your models in Azure), separated by commas. | | **Add API Key** or **Save Changes** | Off until you enter a key | Saves the key. A key added to a provider not in use makes that provider the **Active Provider**. | ### Image Models Each image provider row ends in **Active**, **Ready**, or **Set up**. | Control | Default | What it changes | | ------------------------------ | ------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | API key field and **Save key** | Empty | Saves the image provider's key. Replace it only if the key changes. | | **Use as default** | Off until the provider is ready | Makes this the provider your squad uses for images. The window then shows "Current default". | ### Model Defaults Shows once a provider is connected. | Control | Default | What it changes | | ---------------------- | ----------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Active Provider** | The provider you connected in setup | The provider your squad uses by default. | | **Default Model** | The provider's recommended model | The model your squad uses. **Show all** lists older models too. | | **Reasoning Level** | **Automatic** | How much the model thinks before it answers: **Automatic**, **Low**, **High**, or **Standard**. | | **Fallback Providers** | None | Providers tried in order when the active one runs out. Up to 5, each with its own model. Only a provider connected with an API key can be one. | | **Save Defaults** | Off until a model is chosen | Saves the four settings above. You see "Defaults saved successfully." | > **Warning:** **Save Defaults** sets the **Default Model** on every squad member, including one you gave its own model on **Squad**. Switching provider or account does the same. Pick that squad member's model again afterwards. ## Integrations Connections belong to this workspace only. | Control | Default | What it changes | | -------------------------------------- | --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Refresh** | - | Checks every connection again, such as after you sign in to an app. | | **Search integrations…** | Empty | Filters the list by app name. | | **Show Connected** | Off | Shows only apps with a connected account. | | **Connect** on an app | Not connected | Opens **Connect** and the app's name, then **Continue to** the app to sign in. | | **Account label** | Empty, required | A short name for the account, up to 48 characters, such as "work". Each account of an app needs its own label. | | **Manage** on an app | Folded | Lists the app's accounts. | | Access button on an account | **Read only** | Opens **Account scope**, which applies to every squad member. **Save access** saves it. See the table below. | | Disconnect (unplug icon) on an account | - | Asks you to confirm, then removes that account only. | | **Add account** | - | Connects another account of the same app, up to 5. | | Access | What your squad can use | | ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Read only** | Only tools marked read-only | | **Read + Write** | Every tool except ones marked destructive (able to delete or damage things) | | **Full access** | Every tool, including destructive ones | ### Custom An MCP server gives your squad the tools of a service that isn't in the app list. **Add MCP** opens **Add custom MCP**, for a server you run or trust. | Control | Default | What it changes | | ------------------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Server name** | Empty | 2 to 49 lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, or underscores, such as "company-tools". | | **HTTPS endpoint** | Empty | The server's web address. It must use HTTPS and can't hold sign-in details. | | **Authentication** | **None: the server is open** | Or **OAuth: sign in to authorize** (you approve access on the server's page), or **Token: paste a static token** (a code that doesn't change). | | **Token** | Empty | Shows for **Token** only. It is sent as an Authorization: Bearer header. | | **Advanced settings** | Folded | For **OAuth** only: **OAuth Client ID (optional)**, **OAuth Client Secret (optional)**, and **Scopes (optional)**. | | **Add MCP** or **Add and connect** | Off until **Server name** and **HTTPS endpoint** are filled in | Adds the server. With **OAuth**, it then takes you to the server to approve access. | | **Connect** or **Disconnect** on a custom server | Shown for **OAuth** servers | Signs in to the server, or removes the sign-in. | | Remove (bin) on a custom server | - | Removes the server. | ## Passwords & Logins | Control | Default | What it changes | | --------------------- | --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Add login** | - | Opens **Add a login**. | | **Website** | Empty, required | The site, such as "github.com". SquadRoom adds "https://" if missing. The login is filled only on this site and its subdomains, over http or https, on any port (such as example.com:8080). | | **Name** | Empty, required | A name for the login, such as "GitHub, work account". | | **Username or email** | Empty, required | Your username or email for the site. | | **Password** | Empty, required | The password. The eye icon shows or hides it. | | **Two-factor key** | Folded, empty | The site's two-factor setup key: the key behind the 6-digit codes an authenticator app shows. Your squad then enters the 6-digit code at sign-in, and the login shows **Fills 2FA codes**. | | **Save login** | - | Saves the login. | | Search box | Empty | Filters by name, site, or username. Shows once you have a login saved. | | Remove login (bin) | - | Asks "Remove this login?" in the row. **Remove** removes it, **Keep** cancels. | ## Messaging | Control | Default | What it changes | | --------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Bot Token** | Empty | The token of a bot you create with @BotFather in Telegram. Once connected, leave it blank to keep the current token. | | **Your Telegram user ID** | Empty | The number @userinfobot sends you, digits only. Your bot answers only this account and sends alerts and scheduled results to your chat with it. | | **Enable Telegram** or **Save Changes** | **Enable Telegram** is off until both fields are filled. **Save Changes** is off until you type a token or a user ID. | Connects the bot. You see "Saved." and the tab says **Connected**. | ## Usage | Section or control | Default | What it shows or changes | | --------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Model accounts** | Shown when an account is connected | Each account your workspace can run on, its role, and how much is left in each usage period, with the reset time. | | **Refresh** in **Model accounts** | - | Checks again what is left on each account. | | **Credits** | - | **Available credits**, with "Resets" and the date on Launch, or "Free plan includes no credits". | | **View pricing** | - | Opens **Credit cost per usage**, the price of each kind of research. | | **Monthly limit** | Off | Warns you at 80%. At 100%, your squad pauses until you raise the limit or credits reset. | | **Limit in credits** and **Save limit** | Empty | Sets the limit, a whole number of credits from 1 up. Only you can change it. | | **Turn off** | Shown when a limit is set | Removes the limit. | | **Credit activity** | Newest first, 10 per page | Each credit refill and charge, with the squad member that used it. | ## Billing | Section or control | Default | What it shows or changes | | ------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Current plan** | **Launch**, once you've paid in setup | Your plan, **Launch** or **Free**, its list price per month, and its state. | | **Billing cycle** | "No billing" on Free, "Monthly" on Launch | How often you pay. | | **Next renewal** or **Access until** | "Not scheduled" on Free | When your plan renews, or when access ends after you cancel. | | **Billing access** | "Organization owner" | Who can change billing. | | **Upgrade to Launch** | Shown on Free | Opens checkout for the Launch plan. | | **Manage subscription** | Shown on Launch | Opens the billing portal, where you change your payment method or cancel. | | **Buy credits** | 1 pack | **Additional Credits Pack**: 5,000 credits for $10 a pack. Minus and plus choose 1 to 20 packs. Bought credits never expire and are used after monthly credits. | | **Buy pack** or **Buy packs** | - | Opens checkout for the packs. | | **Billing History** | Newest first | Each payment and refund, with its date, amount, state, and **Invoice** link. | ## Workspace The tab is titled **Workspace Management**. | Control | Default | What it changes | | -------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Agent Task Concurrency** | 2 tasks | The most tasks your squad runs at once. One squad member can take several. Choose 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, or 10. Each running task needs about 800 MB of computer memory, so your workspace never runs more than it can hold. | | **Restart gateway** under **Agent Gateway** | - | Restarts your squad's messaging connections, such as Telegram, without touching your data. They drop for a moment. Works only when the workspace is ready. | | Backup name | Empty, optional | Names the backup, such as "Before migration". Without one, it is called "Workspace backup". | | **Create Backup** | - | Starts a backup. It reads **Pending** until it's done. | | **Include secrets and environment variables** | On | Puts your saved keys, secrets, and saved logins in the backup. Turn it off to leave them out. With it off and logins saved, the backup asks first. | | Pin (star) on a backup | Unpinned | Pins the backup. A pinned backup can't be deleted until you unpin it. | | **Restore** | - | Asks you to confirm, then replaces your workspace with the backup. Don't start new tasks until it finishes. | | **Delete** | - | Asks you to confirm, then deletes the backup for good. | | **Retry pending backup** | Shown on a pending backup | Tries the backup again. | | **Resume restore** | Shown while a restore is running | Continues the same restore. | | **Reset** under **Danger Zone** | - | Opens **Reset workspace**. Choose what to keep, type the workspace name, then click **Reset workspace**. | | **Connected apps** in **Reset workspace** | On | Keeps everything on the Integrations page through the reset. Off disconnects your apps. | | **AI providers and models** in **Reset workspace** | On | Keeps your API keys, sign-ins, and default model through the reset. | | **Memory** in **Reset workspace** | Off | Keeps what your squad remembers through the reset. Off deletes it. | Reset deletes your squad, tasks, docs, workspace history, the setup conversation, and your workspace's computer and files, including saved logins. Then it returns you to setup. Your backups, subscription, and credits stay. See [Reset your workspace](/docs/billing#reset-your-workspace). > **Warning:** Reset can't be undone. Create a backup first if you might want anything back. ## What Settings doesn't do - It doesn't change one squad member's model, name, or pause. Those are on **Squad**. - It doesn't pause the whole squad. **Pause squad** is on **Tasks**. - It doesn't hold scheduled jobs. They are on **Calendar**. - It doesn't invite people.
