What is SquadRoom?

An AI squad for your business. You hand it a job, and your lead gives it to the squad member who does it from start to finish. See How SquadRoom works.

How is it different from ChatGPT?

You hand over the job, not just a question. A squad member owns it as a task until it comes back finished, with a report. See Hand over work that comes back finished.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. The Interactive Product Demo is a workspace with a sample company in it, and you can click through it without an account.

What does SquadRoom cost?

$49 a month for the Launch plan during early access, and that price stays while you stay subscribed. The full price is $99 a month. It includes 1,000 research credits each billing cycle. See What SquadRoom costs and what uses credits.

Is AI usage included in the price?

No. You connect your own AI account, and your provider bills you directly. SquadRoom adds nothing on top. See What SquadRoom costs and what uses credits.

Do I need my own AI account?

Yes: a paid ChatGPT plan such as Plus or Pro, or a Claude Pro or Max subscription. You can also use an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter. An API key is a secret code from your AI provider that lets SquadRoom use your account. Setup waits until one is connected. See Connect the AI account your squad runs on.

Do I pay before setup?

Yes. Checkout comes first, then setup. See Set up SquadRoom and get your first report.

How long does setup take?

Your workspace usually builds in under a minute. The conversation with your lead takes as long as you want, and it waits in Chat if you stop. See Set up SquadRoom and get your first report.

Your squad and its work

How do I give my squad work?

Message your lead in Chat, or click New Task on Tasks. Your lead hands the task to the right squad member. See Hand over work that comes back finished.

Does my squad keep working when I close the tab?

Yes. Your squad works on its own computer in the cloud, so work carries on after you close the tab or log out. See How SquadRoom works.

Where does finished work go?

Into a report on its task, which also shows under Latest outcomes on the Dashboard. The files it made are saved in Docs, where every version is kept. See Track work on Tasks.

What happens when my squad gets stuck?

It asks you in a ticket. Answer it on Tasks > Tickets, and the work carries on. See Answer questions and approve drafts.

Can my squad do the same job every week?

Yes. Work can repeat on a schedule, and every recurring job shows on the Calendar. See Schedule work on the Calendar and Run a playbook.

Can I add or remove a squad member?

You add one by asking your lead in Chat. You can't remove one, but you can pause it. See Add, change, and pause squad members.

How many tasks run at once?

2 by default. Change it to 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, or 10 in Settings > Workspace > Agent Task Concurrency. See Track work on Tasks.

Why did a task stop?

Its card says why, such as "Paused · whole squad" or "Stopped · the last run crashed". See Get a stuck task moving again.

AI accounts and credits

What are research credits?

They pay for the built-in research tools, such as web searches and lookups on social sites. A web search costs 1 credit per result. Model usage and connected apps never use credits. See What credits pay for.

What happens when credits run out?

Paid research lookups stop until you buy a pack or your plan's credits reset. A pack is 5,000 credits for $10, and credits you buy never expire. See Buy credits.

Can I cap what my squad spends on credits?

Yes. Set a Monthly limit in Settings > Usage. At 80% you get a warning. At 100% the squad pauses until you raise the limit or the next billing cycle starts. See Set a monthly limit.

What happens when my AI account hits its limit?

Another account takes over, or a fallback provider (a second AI provider your squad switches to), if you set one up. If not, the work waits and starts again on its own when the limit resets. See Your AI account hit its usage limit.

Approvals and safety

Does my squad post or send things without asking?

No. Only your approval lets anything leave SquadRoom. A draft waits for you with Approve and Request changes. When a connected account can post or send it, you also see Approve and post or Approve and send. See Answer questions and approve drafts.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your squad works in a private workspace that only you and your squad can reach. SquadRoom stores your AI keys and tokens encrypted. A token, like a key, is a secret code that lets SquadRoom use your account. Every app you connect starts at Read only. SquadRoom doesn't sell your data or use it to train its own models. See How SquadRoom works and the Privacy Policy.

Can I stop everything at once?

Yes. Select Pause squad on Tasks. No task starts, no squad member wakes, and no scheduled run starts until you select Resume squad. Chat still replies. See Pause the whole squad.

Can I pause one squad member?

Yes. Select Pause for that squad member on Squad. It takes no new work, and the others keep going. See Add, change, and pause squad members.

Can my squad sign in to websites for me?

Yes, with the logins you save in Settings > Passwords & Logins. See Store passwords and logins for your squad.

Apps and channels

Which apps can I connect?

Any of the 56 apps in Settings > Integrations, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, Slack, GitHub, HubSpot, and Stripe. See Connect apps through Integrations.

What can my squad do in a connected app?

What the account's access allows. Every account starts at Read only, and you can raise it to Read + Write or Full access. See Connect apps through Integrations.

Do connected apps cost credits?

No. Only the built-in research tools use credits. See What SquadRoom costs and what uses credits.

Can I talk to my squad from Telegram?

Yes. Add your own Telegram bot token in Settings > Messaging. That is the code Telegram gives you when you create your own bot. See Reach your squad from Telegram.

Account

Can I sign in with Google?

Yes. Select Sign up with Google or Continue with Google. An account made with Google has no password, so always log in with Continue with Google. See Set up SquadRoom and get your first report.

How do I reset my password?

Select Forgot? on the log-in page, type your email, and select Send reset link. The link works for 30 minutes. See Reset your password.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings > Billing, select Manage subscription, and cancel on the billing page that opens. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Then your squad pauses until you subscribe again, and nothing is deleted. See Update your payment details or cancel.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 7 days of a subscription payment. Email [email protected]. A credit pack you haven't used any credits from is also refundable within 7 days of buying it. See Get a refund.

Where are my invoices?

In Settings > Billing > Billing History. Each payment has an Invoice link when one is available. See Manage your subscription, credits, and workspace.

Can I back up my workspace?

Yes, under Data & Backups in Settings > Workspace. SquadRoom makes no backups on its own. See Back up your workspace.

How do I delete my account?

Email [email protected] from your account's email address and ask. SquadRoom deletes your account and its data within 30 days. There is no delete button.

To start over and keep your account, use Reset in Settings > Workspace. See Reset your workspace.

How do I get help?

Select Report a problem in the account menu, or email [email protected]. See Still stuck.
